Wait what, wasn’t Christmas a only few months ago?
Nope. I am rudely mistaken. Christmas was indeed 361 days ago however very much feels like it was yesterday. Has this year disappeared in a blink of an aye for you too?
For our little family, this year has been the most significant yet.
We got a mortgage, we bought a house, we moved in, we painted, we spent days upon days landscaping the garden, we paid bills, we adopted a furbaby, James ran an Ultra Marathon, we made new friends, I built my dream studio (with the help of my Dad), we laughed till we cried, we lost friends, we built a fence, we fought till I cried, we rarely slept in, we made up and laughed some more, we had the time of our lives, realised what is truly important and made memories that will last forever..
It has been one roller coaster of a year but both the highs and the lows have made it a year that i’ll never forget.
Christmas for me is a time to look back on the year gone by and really appreciate where I am, what I have and those I call family. We have accomplished so much this year and I am incredibly proud of it! Oh.. and food, I can’t forget the food.
We are lucky to have two big events to head to with our families each year. We have a big lunch at my Cousin’s home and a big dinner at James’ Aunties. Our day starts very early and ends very late so gone are the days of getting up at the crack of dawn to be the first in line at the mall for Boxing Day shopping, I think this year we’ll spend it on our decks sipping on something cool with our feet in the paddling pool… provided Mother Nature gets her sh** together and gives us some consistent sunshine in the next week or two *crosses fingers*
I am going to be vlogging Christmas Day again this year so will be interesting to see what happens this year amongst the festivities!!
I hope you all have an incredible Christmas spent with those you love.
I will see you in the New Year with lots of exciting things happening with Stellar.
